WORK EXPERIENCE
IT Director / Webmaster, INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati (August 2008 – Present)
• Design, develop, and implement all websites and web applications for the INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Project manager for all IT projects, such as comprehensive conference registration systems, intranet for members of the organization including participant tracking systems, daily online feedback surveys, credit card processing, and a thorough internship interview management and slot selection system.
• Manager of the INTERalliance “IT Task Force,” which contracts high school students to local internships. Identify prospective students by working with teachers from more than 50 high schools, perform pre-qualification interviews for internships, provide answers and advice on how to best prepare for internships.
NKU IT Careers Camp Assistant Director, INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati (July 2009 – August 2009)
• Logistical leader for the Northern Kentucky University IT Careers Camp. Planned a five-day overnight program for twenty high school students, supporting the Program Director. Coordinated team advisors, created lesson plans, supervised an Operations Assistant, and successfully ensured the satisfaction of all twenty participants.
LEADERSHIP AND ACCOMPLISHEMENTS
TechOlympics Expo 2010 Steering Committee (August 2009 – March 2010)
• Helped to plan and coordinate TechOlympics Expo 2010, a three-day technology convention and competition for nearly 400 students from 39 local high schools, assisting in all aspects including IT, student activities, and logistics.
• Designed and custom coded an “intelligent” online conference registration system that allowed conference attendees to pay for their ticket, provide thorough demographic information, and select and register for events and breakout sessions from more than 30 choices in a 3-day schedule, managing time conflicts and allowing printing of a final individualized schedule.
Deputy Chair, INTERalliance of Greater Cincinnati Executive Committee (October 2008 – Present)
• Work directly under Board of Directors to provide a student perspective for all INTERalliance programs. Assist in interviewing and selection of Executive Committee members. Facilitate team of 13 students. Make programming decisions as a team, advertise programs to high schools, maintain community presence of the organization.
Undergraduate Student Government (October 2010 – Present)
• Mentee to the Student Body Vice President. Work on projects such as an outreach program to student groups, a comprehensive off-campus services website, and bettering the university’s conference services.
Cincinnati Museum Center CEO’s Special Committee on Digital Marketing (June 2009 - October 2009)
• Served on a committee of students to advise the Cincinnati Museum Center on how to best utilize social media as a way to gain support for the November 2009 levy extension. Served on team to create AncientGames, a Facebook application to promote this goal. Helped to plan PharaohFest, a promotional event at the Cincinnati Museum Center. Oversaw logistics and assisted professional event planner with running the event.
Beta Theta Pi Fraternity (September 2010 – Present)
• Learning much about teamwork and accountability as I assume leadership roles. Recruitment team captain for my first quarter, in which Beta Theta Pi recruited more new members than any other fraternity on campus. Appointed to Bid Committee, responsible for discussing and voting on the addition of new members.
Executive Board Member, Ohio Junior Classical League (March 2008 – March 2010)
• Served for two years on the Executive Board to help plan an annual convention for 1000+ students, adding new and innovative activities to the convention and implementing changes to streamline operation.
• Coordinated a service event at Wesleyan Cemetery, attended by over 100 local students and the media. Largest documented Junior Classical League service project in the country. Featured in nationally distributed publication.
Executive Board Member, Summit Country Day Latin Club (March 2008 – May 2010)
• As 2009-2010 President, facilitated weekly meetings and overall progress for the 13-member Executive Board. Helped officers set goals and ensured goals were met. Effectively facilitated teamwork and led productive meetings. Organized fifty-five person delegation to OJCL State Latin Convention, which came in first place in the competition. Oversaw coordination of 2-3 quarterly events, which were highly attended by club members.
